Base & Arm Material Composition: High strength polycarbonate. Note: Polycarbonate should not be subject to industrial solvents, such as acetone.

Magnets: N40 Grade Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB)

Magnet Coating: Three layer coating of Nickel-Copper-Nickel having a minimum thickness of 0.0015".

Magnet Life: Permanent magnetic field subject to the following conditions:

Magnets are not subject to excessive or prolonged heat above 45°C;

Magnets are not subject to high magnetic fields;

Magnets are not subjected to outside impact or abrasion that will damage the coating and permit oxidation of the NdFeB.

Adhesive: Structural grade elastic adhesive - Methyl Merthacrylate (MMA)

Pin: Zinc plated steel pin

Mounting: 3 mounting screws provided - #6 combination Robertson and Philips head screws. Mounting holes are counter-bored to accept #6 combination Robertson and Philips head screws with screw heads flush with surface of base.

Testing: Finite Element Analysis of geometry and material to determine stress points and degree of safety margin. Minor stress points were identified. All points have a margin of safety factor of 3 times actual identified stress. Canadian Standards Association: OnSpex, the Consumer Products Evaluation Division of the Canadian Standards Association, has subjected the product to tests to determine longevity, durability and reliability. A copy of the report is available upon request.
